Summary

A popular trend for publishers these days is to bundle a game with its expansion pack and then re-release it, normally about a year after the original. Real-time strategy game Galactic Battlegrounds Saga is no exception, being the combination of the original Galactic Battlegrounds and its subsequent add-on, Clone Campaigns.

Galactic Battlegrounds offers players the opportunity for immense, large-scale combat covering a wide-range of environments. Campaign settings range from interstellar asteroids and aerial encounters to submerged cities and epic ground battles, with over 300 different units and structures. Players will be able to test their tactical battle skills as they deploy masses of units, up to 200 per side, including bounty hunters, Jedi Knights, stormtroopers, X-wings, AT-AT's, snowspeeders, AT-ST's, Wookie Kas tanks and droids.

The real-time confrontations involve six key civilisations: Galactic Empire, Rebel Alliance, Wookies, Gungans, Royal Naboo and Trade Federation. The game features numerous gameplay modes, including single player campaigns, skirmishes, historical missions and multi-player battle arenas over Internet and LAN.

The Clone Campaigns Mission Pack features two new civilisations and fourteen dynamic new battle scenarios. Derived from the film Episode II: Attack of the Clones, the new additions allow owners of the original to create all new battles and campaigns involving both civilisations from the classic Star Wars universe and the new characters from the film. Fourteen new single player combat scenarios also feature in the expansion pack, as well as new environments, vehicles and over 200 new units.
