The world's number one people simulator sees yet more additions to the series, one of which is this, The Sims: Deluxe Edition. In a move possibly geared towards enticing the last few uninitiated amongst us into entering into the world of the little pet people, Deluxe Edition offers a copy of the original game bundled with the first expansion pack of the series, Livin' It Up.
For those few out there who didn't already know what goes on in this game, The Sims is about people. Nothing else. You get to play god, as you can tamper with their jobs, property, lifestyle, relationships and minds, but without facing harsh physical consequences that would occur under normal circumstances. With the option of starting a family from scratch, you can watch people fall in love, get jobs, have babies and watch their offspring get into all sorts of trouble. The only difference is, it doesn't take a lifetime.
Livin' It Up introduces a whole host of new additions to the proceedings, such as career choices, objects, building styles and characters to your Sims' lives. You can build up to fifty new homes and create fifty new jobs for your Sims to choose from. These features contribute immensely to what is already a very challenging and well put together game. With the inclusion of this expansion pack, you can put your Sims up against the likes of The Grim Reaper. If you are feeling a little generous, on the other hand, then you can present your Sims with a domestic robot to do the chores around the house.
Two for the price of one, this is a great way of going about discovering the world of The Sims for yourself.
