Summary

It seemed just like any normal day in the Looney Tunes universe. Taz was fooling around with his sweetheart when, all of a sudden, dark clouds appeared overhead, signifying imminent trouble for our favourite devil. The next thing we know, Loudmouth sheriff Yosemite Sam is bragging to us that he has a new attraction on show at Sam Francisco Zoo. The lawman with the oversized hat and outrageous 'tache has captured Taz and secured him in his zoo, determined to keep him captive.

Taz has other ideas, however, about being caged and gawped at by visitors to Sam's zoo. As soon as the game starts, after a lengthy preamble of frantic cel-shaded action, you break Taz out of his confinement with a vicious spin and head straight for the Tutorial. This section will tell you all you need to know about how to progress through the game. What it won't tell you is just how tricky things can get in Taz: Wanted. The non-linear approach favoured by the developer means that almost all corners of the game are ripe for exploration, and with four huge worlds at Taz's mercy, there's no shortage of places to go, things to do and disguises to wear. Ah yes, disguises. There are ways to make progress simpler for Taz: donning disguises to escape his captor's henchmen is one way. There are plenty of power-ups and items to collect along the way too. There will also be a few familiar faces from the Looney Tunes universe popping up throughout the game. Daffy Duck, Sylvester and Tweety, Wile E Coyote and Elmer Fudd are among the characters making an appearance.

So, can you help Taz return home to his beloved She-Devil? One thing's for sure - your journey through the game will provide many genuinely funny moments - this is Looney Tunes after all - and as platformer/puzzlers go, Taz: Wanted is a winner
