Summary

The incredible Tony Hawk Pro Skater series is coming to the Game Boy Advance in this second sequel to grace Nintendo’s portable platform. This is a skateboarding game that is so good that it even appeals to non-fans of the genre. It’s all about playability in this game, and Neversoft has managed an outstanding conversion with this title.

The gameplay is objective-based, in each stage there are several tasks for the player to complete. These are similar to the big brother console versions and usually include finding objects and reaching set score targets. On each level there is a hidden tape that is usually tucked away in a sneaky location. Reaching these objectives earns cash that can be used to improve your skater’s stats, buy new tricks and specials, and even buy new decks. Most importantly, having cash will unlock new levels and competition invites.

The competition runs take place over three heats, each one minute run is scored by the judges and your best two attempts are averaged out. If you score highest, you are duly rewarded with a gold medal and three of these beauties will win you the honour of being the best skater around.
