Summary

Zidane Football Generation is a portable soccer simulation for the Game Boy Color. Starring France’s superstar player Zinedine Zidane, it’s all-out action and tactics, as you attempt to prove to all that your team is second to none.

Zinedine Zidane is regarded by many as one the most talented players in the world. For starters, he was a part of the French Team that won the World Cup in 1998 and the 2000 European Championship. He's worth a few bob too: about £30 million paid by Spanish giants Real Madrid to make him their player in time for the 2001/2002 season.

This game is easy to learn, mainly because of the lack of buttons on the Game Boy Color. But, that doesn’t stop it from being fun to play, it controls well and that’s what’s important. Soon you’ll be knocking in 25 yard screamers like the man himself.

There are three main modes of gameplay to choose from, friendly matches, arcade and tournaments. Friendly matches can be set-up however you like. Just pick your teams, difficulty level and match duration. The arcade mode is a little more forgiving, and the tournament is a challenging series of games.

So if you're a dedicated fan of the genre and you like being able to take your games with you, give Zidane Football Generation a go.
