Summary

Ferrari F355 Challenge for the PlayStation 2 puts you in the seat of one of the most desirable, powerful supercars on the planet. Do you have the skills to become the number one driver?

F355 Challenge is a true driving simulator and that makes it a more challenging game to take on. But if you take the time to learn the handling characteristics of the car and the track layouts, you will find a hugely rewarding experience.

To make your driving life a little easier, there are four assist functions that can be toggled on or off while you are racing. Stability Control, Traction Control, ABS and Intelligent Braking System are all optional. Intelligent braking automatically slows you down for the corners so you don’t overshoot the mark.

F355 Challenge also sports an excellent training mode that shows you the racing line, when and how long to brake for, and which gear to select. A few laps of training and you’ll soon be on the podium. F355 requires a smooth touch. Harsh throttling, braking and turning will see you into the gravel trap.

F355 has everything a true Ferrari fan could want. The impressive graphics are complemented by a scarily true-to-life physics model. Suffice to say that it feels pretty good when you win your first race.

There are many racing simulators out there, and F355 is as good as, if not better than the likes of Toca and GT3. Fans of the prancing horse need look no further.
