Summary

In what must be one of the last releases to grace the Dreamcast, Floigan Brothers is a light-hearted comedy adventure starring Hoigle and Moigle. In this game, you play as Hoigle Floigan who is helping his brother complete his secret project. Unfortunately, Moigle has lost the parts he needs (doh) and whose help does he need? Yep, that's right.

And if that wasn’t enough to deal with, the evil Baron Malodorous and his gang of underhanded cats are attempting to take over the Floigan Brothers junkyard. Things just couldn’t get any worse for the Floigan Brothers.

The gameplay is similar to other 3D point and click adventure games like Escape from Monkey Island. There are multiple puzzles to solve and many items to find. Usually, it is a case of scouring the environment until you find something useful to interact with. The twist is that you get your brother Moigle to solve the puzzles. You can hug him to make him happy or punch him to induce rage. Mastering the command system is necessary to solve the puzzles.

Floigan Bros. is a genuinely amusing title and has several belly laugh moments. State of the art artificial intelligence makes Moigle act like a living cartoon character. Moigle actually displays emotions in a surprisingly realistic way.

Depending on how clever you are, the main game in Floigan Brothers varies in length. An aptitude for puzzles will mean that you'll probably fly through the main parts of Floigan Brothers. To add longevity, ten multi-player mini-games are included that are enjoyable in their own right, and for those who are keeping the faith with their beleaguered Sega consoles, that's more than enough.
