Summary
After the phenomenal success of the 1980’s movie classic, Ghostbusters, the popular Supernatural Investigators came off the big screen and onto children’s TV across the globe, in the form of an animated series called Extreme Ghostbusters. Based on the TV series, the Ghostbusters are now making an appearance on PC.
Once again your ultimate goal is simple; capture and lock away all ghosts and prevent the city from a supernatural invasion. Extreme Ghostbusters initially allows you to play as one of four characters, Kylie, Garrett, Edourado or Roland. The idea of the game is not just to zap the ghosts, but also to do it in the quickest time possible. If your performance is exemplary, you’ll have the option to play as Slimer! The game boasts fifty levels overall, spread across three different modes of play - Arcade, Challenge and Contest.
Interestingly, and giving endless longevity to Extreme Ghostbusters, players are also able to create their own levels using a level editor. Your creations can be used to perfect your skills as a Ghostbuster, or you can use them to challenge your friends in a 2-player game. Each area within the game takes a popular theme and boosts the gameplay with its simplicity. This is one that all kids, and even fans of the original Ghostbusters will love.
