Summary

There are a few software houses that are renowned for their ability to produce fantastic flight sims, and as complex as some of them might be, they are still extremely popular among the flight sim audience. Microsoft’s own flight sim games are popular enough, but perhaps just as engrossing are Novalogic’s attempts at the genre. So much so, in fact, that the company has released Jet Pack, a triple pack of three great flight sims consisting of MiG-29 Fulcrum, F-22 Raptor and F-16 Multirole Fighter. Novalogic has combined these three games in particular because of their individuality, making for a great compilation.

The MiG-29 Fulcrum, popular for its superior control, is one of the world’s most agile fighter planes. The game/simulator includes highly detailed plane models, complete with an interactive cockpit. You are able to test this ultimate fighter plane across forty single-player missions, as well as creating your own mission ‘shorties’.

On the stealthier side of things, the F-22 Raptor comes highly recommended as a deadly plane, capable of executing numerous combat manoeuvres with precision and prowess. The simulator features extended gameplay in which mission objectives are subject to change, depending on the success or failure of a preceding mission.

The F-16 Multirole Fighter has a great reputation as a pure fighting machine. Armed with some awesome weaponry, this plane has been designed to cope with harsh weather conditions and is equipped with superior night-vision technology for precision attacks in any weather.

Each of the three games and the planes within them offer a unique challenge. We can’t think of any better compilation for the genre.
