Summary

In the post-apocalyptic future, the world has gone beyond wrestling, deadly game shows and violent sports events. It has moved on to a new form of entertainment, sponsored by the World Destruction League (WDL). The WDL has set up a battle-tournament, where budding jump jet joystick jockeys hoist their undercarriage and hog the airwaves in head-to-head jet-based combat over post-apocalyptic cities the world over.

Adopting a similar theme to the original Twisted Metal, also on PlayStation, War Jetz takes place in destructible arenas, based upon the shambles that is future Earth. Around the playing area you will find numerous power-ups that enhance statistics such as firepower. Should you beat the opposition on their home ‘turf’, you will become a respected member of their so-called gang. A privilege, we’re sure you will agree.

The PlayStation version of the game has all the same great gameplay as the PlayStation 2 game – explosive air-to-air and air-to-ground battle action, outrageous competitors, and deadly weapons of destruction. The competition is set in stages all over the world, where harsh conditions such as ice, mud, rain, wind and sand add extra challenges and excitement to the battle arena. And with a mind-blowing number of characters, jets, upgrades and weapons to choose from, the battle is different every time.
