Summary

As popular as the racing genre is today, there aren’t many games that can keep a player’s attention for a lengthy period of time. Racing around the same old tracks, both on and off road, can quickly become a monotonous task that leaves the player challenging their lap times and nothing else. Screamer 4x4 takes a seemingly easier option and temporarily rids the video game world of linear racing in a truly intense semi-racing game.

First and foremost, the developers have shown great consideration when working with the game mechanics. 4x4 promises to give players the experience of driving with the most technologically accurate vehicles available in any game of its kind to date. After choosing the desired realistic beast, you will find yourself approaching some of the toughest terrain ever seen in a video game. Tarmac is a rare sight. When driving through one of the game’s 60 courses, each across one of ten locations, climbing up a sheer vertical cliff face can seem truly terrifying, but equally awesome.

Increasing race complexity is a variety of racing and weather conditions. Driving in the rain at night is a great challenge that only the most skilled players of the game will be able to accomplish with a significant race position. All the features mentioned above amount to what is a fun-to-play, intense and competitive four-wheel drive racing game. And what’s more, Scream 4x4 has a superb level of replay value, making this a recommended purchase for any PC owner.
