Summary

Scooby Doo, a TV classic from the seventies and eighties has such popularity that, almost thirty years later, he is to be resurrected onto the big screen for a movie outing. In video gaming tradition, a series of Scooby games are set to be released to coincide with its big screen counterpart. Although the least visually impressive version, the GameBoy Color development promises an equal amount of spooky mysteries. After running out of gas, the Mystery Machine once again leads them onto a mystery that Scooby, Shaggy and the rest of the gang can’t refuse. This time around a jewel thief is on the loose, and among their typically huge list of suspects is Dr. Jekyll! Zoinks!

After a lengthy introduction, your party will end up separated in a mansion with similar qualities to that in Psycho. Cleverly, you are able to switch to any of the characters in the game, and investigate with each individual character, and although Scooby and Shaggy always stay together, you can bet they will get the best slice of action. Exploring the 2D mansion is a relatively simple affair, with just three essential commands available; talk, use and look. When these commands are available to use, they will be highlighted on the screen; a simple system that works perfectly for its proposed audience. Solving the mystery, on the other hand, is something that will challenge anyone, even the most knowledgeable Scooby Doo fan.

You must use all your wit and solve the clues provided to return the jewels back to their original locations.
