Summary

Martian Alert is one great Gameboy Color game and it gives you the chance to be a part of an interactive cartoon. At least that’s what it feels like! Let’s be honest, who didn’t want to be a part of the Looney tunes universe when they were young?

In Martian Alert you take on the role of Bugs Bunny who is just about to go on holiday to Florida. What Bugs finds out is that Marvin the Martian has plans to blow up the Earth but his silly dog K-9 has thrown his technology out of the airlock. In order to save the world Bugs Bunny must find the ten pieces of Martian teleport equipment before Marvin does.

The control method is straightforward and is explained gradually to you as you make progress through the game, which is a nice feature that all games should use. The graphics are vivid and well drawn, the game really looks like a cartoon. You can tell the programmers have a sense of humour, because the dialogue is well written and often manages to make you smile. One great feature of Martian Alert is that as you meet other Looney Tune characters, over 40 of them, you can have them join your crusade. By pressing select you can swap characters and use their attributes. Daffy Duck can dive underwater or Elmer Fudd can shoot his shotgun. Martian Alert is a huge game with plenty of puzzles and most of all it's lots of fun. A thoroughly entertaining game for all ages that you can play anywhere.
