Summary

It’s easy to see why Dragon Warrior Monsters for the Gameboy Color has done so well for itself. This is one game that has plenty of depth and story for you to enjoy. Dragon Warrior Monsters (DWM) has several winning elements that combine together to create a winning formula. This game is of the role playing variety with a decent storyline combined with monsters to collect, train and fight. In DWM your sister is taken away from your bedroom as you both are sleeping. She is led to another kingdom within a tree against her wishes and fears for her safety. Being the hero that you are, it’s impossible to let anything happen to your sister so you set off on your quest.

The gameplay in Dragon Warrior monsters is vast and enjoyable. This game will remind you of Pokemon in some respects and that’s no bad thing. As mentioned earlier you have to find monsters to use in battle. With each successful battle they grow stronger as they gain experience. You can have several monsters with you at any given time. The battles and exploration parts to this game are probably the best features. The graphics are varied and pleasant on the eye and the music, well, the music could do with being turned off. This does not take away in the slightest from the playing experience. Overall, if you liked Pokemon or enjoy RPG’s, Dragon Warrior Monsters is worth investigating.
