Summary

Disney’s Aladdin is based on the animated film of the same name. You are a young street urchin called Aladdin who finds himself on a magical adventure, after discovering a genie who grants him three wishes. You find yourself pitted against the sultan’s evil vizier Jafar, who wants to rule the city of Agrabah, Aladdin’s beloved home. During the game your constant companion is Abu, a small monkey who helps Aladdin along the way. You also come across a magic carpet that has a mind of its own. The main objective of Disney’s Aladdin is to stop the evil vizier in his quest to rule Agrabah, but you must also win the heart of the beautiful Princess Jasmine.

The sound is quite impressive considering just about every musical score from the movie is inputted into the game. Sound effects are what you would expect from a game of this genre. The graphics are standard fare for the SNES, but characters from the movie are instantly recognisable. It is also clear that the game is set in the Middle East, with a distinct Persian feel.

Overall, Disney’s Aladdin is a great platform game suitable for all the family
