Founded by former Radical Entertainment employees, Barking Dog Studios was a video game developer located in the Gastown area of downtown Vancouver. Consisting of a small team of experienced software and entertainment professionals that enjoyed making real-time strategies and first-person shooters, the company focused on titles for the PC. Best know for the titles Global Ops and Homeworld: Cataclysm, the company was acquired by Rockstar Games in mid-2002.
Barking Dog's first work that SPOnG is aware of is the 2000 title, "Homeworld: Cataclysm" (PC).
The company has been involved titles released on the PC and Xbox.
The company's most recent involvement was on the 2003 release "Treasure Planet: Battle at Procyon" (PC).
