Founded in 1987 by a group of teachers, Topologika is one of the UK's longest-established publishers. Award-winning and still-independent, the company's focus is on primary and secondary educational software that works not only within the school environment, but just as well at home. Its products cross age ranges rather than targeting one. Whiteboard and network-friendly, its titles also integrate with traditional teaching, and their exciting approaches grab attention.
In the late 1980s Topologika picked up the publishing rights for a range of Acornsoft titles, including the well-respected classic text adventures, including Countdown to Doom, Philosophers Quest, Kingdom of Hamil and Acheton. It went on to convert these to run on the ZX Spectrum, Amstrad CPC and even Atari home computers. Sticking within the realm of adventures, the company also released new games like Return to Doom, Last Days of Doom, Hezarin, Avon, Murdac and SpySnatcher. Today, however, the company focuses squarely on educational software and no longer produce these 'cult' adventures.

Topologika's first work that SPOnG is aware of is the 1987 title, "Yes, Chancellor" (Amstrad CPC).
