Yes I thought that and it looks better spelled 's**tty' but then... well it looks like its pronounced with too much emphasis on 't'.

sorry dude you don't get to decide how to spell words in the English language...that right is reserved for the American public, and me.

It's amazing, the Wii has garnered so much attention that within the discussion of the article people are talking about the GDP of "random" countries. We are so drawn in by the Wii that we must make degrading comments about an entire nations people with the language employed by a 10 year old.

Good job Nintendo. You are my hero.

I just didn't want to miss what might be my only chance to agree with tyr...

seriously though, what offended me the most, was the explanation given..."well, becasue Ireland buys PSPs and PSPs are a fad, Ireland is gay." which is like 3rd grade logic, if that...

Not wanting to come across all anti-colonial, but I do believe the English public have a slightly greater right to decide how words in the English language are spelled. :-)

ehh, must be my quirky colonial sense of humor...also mockery of Montgomery's speech about Messina from Patton

edit:besides you'd only go on mucking it up with extra "u"s and poncy, frenchified double letters followed by "e"s...

Take your head out of your ass and smell the fresh air!!!! flipin ell...

I didn't exactly say that...but anyway. From all reviews I heard they say it takes about ten minutes to get used to the controls, but once you do they're excellent, this is not from one source but many.

And moderator
'I just wanted to ask a moderator. Is a moderator allowed to give out personal information about me (e.g what country I'm from) without my permision even though when I was registering it Said 'show personal details?' and I wrote no? coz that's what they did to me on this other website. I think it's rather unprofessional ' I wrote this to other websites and I am now awaiting an answer
although someone did answer ...damn I can't find it but anyway, basically they said no.

Spong mods have a nasty habbit of giving out information about their users on the forums. They did it to me when they failed to make a point about Englands gaming industry, and felt the need to make fun of my home country, Belgium. Well, actually, they ended up making a fool of themselves in that topic, so i didn't really mind. Though they SHOULD be aware, that disclosing ANY personal information of ANY kind without consent, is indeed ILLEGAL. The mod in this topics point is as weak as it is false. For instance, disclosing a persons sexual preference doesn't reveal the persons identity either, yet it isn't tollerated either, nor does it make it "ok".

Anyway. This topic has gone down the crapper. You people need to take a chill pill. And to the guy calling the Wii a gimmick: Have you played it? Nope. Then stfu. I'll take the word of Edge, or better, industry insiders and journalist all over the globe, over yours. Untill you've actually played it, and the system has launched, dismissing Nintendo, and calling the controller a gimmick proves just one thing. And we all know what it is.

Cyprus is ace. That Euro Middle Eastern vibe fills my brain with happiness. The Mediterranean is the thing I miss the most about Europe! :( You guys are all good by me. Ireland on the other hand is rubbish, though it does have a dramatic coastline in the west and host some spanky music fests. As far as its economy is concerned, I can't remember why exactly, but it's bullshit. Cost of living rude high, Euros fudged there somehow. They are certainly very unpopular amongst well-integrated ex-pat groups I know in the EU, less popular even that the Brist. Quite an achievement.

There's only one thing left to say:

Right...i know how treads on spong can transform from "xbox turns people into dicks" discussion towards "Bush administration neo-imperialisme and the bad stuff correlated to that" but this is crazy...

I stand by the line that the Wii is a "try first then talk" thing and yes i have tried it! before you have tried it you can only speak of it in terms of potential (as i did all the time before i tried it). Also...from my expercience...Gimmick? Hell no! Revolution in gaming right there!

The controls of Red Steel E3 demo were bad because you had to do a pre-recorded movement perfectly to do a certain move...this is not meant for the final version as Ubisoft has many times said! And sites that have played the "fixed" version say it works like a charm.

Zelda looked hard to control because the controller is very senstive...too senstive and zelda didn't had a sensetivity setting as Metroid Prime 3 did have! (people who playe MP3 on a too sensitive setting had complaints too).

And i thaught i was the only belgian on this site! bloody hell! (belgium does own ireland in economical terms though)

But that actually isn't what happened is it. I mentioned your home country, but I did not state that it was your home country. So only you and I knew that. I merely made an illustrative point about the relevance of England's gaming market in relation to Belgium as a for instance. To anyone but you and I it was simply a random example.

You've just revealed it though.

Also, I in no way made fun of your home country. I used to work in Brussels, and go drinking in Ghent and Leuven. But then your opinion is more important than facts, isn't it. The point I "failed" to make was that PSP is selling well in Europe. It is, but you don't want to believe that. Seemingly because you are a biggoted Nintendo fandomentalist.

Well, actually, they ended up making a fool of themselves in that topic, so i didn't really mind.

That's a rather revisionist view of the situation. What actually happened was I gave up on responding to you because it was a waste of time and energy. Who exactly is the independent adjudicator who decided that you came out covered in glory and I was made to look a fool? Oh, you decided it yourself. That's objective!

Wrong again! Only personally identifiable data.

Since everyone here is operating under a psuedonym, it's only illegal for us to reveal name, phone number, email address and so on. Saying that someone is from a certain country reveals nothing about them - since their identity is not known - nor does it enable them to be identified.

If we were to say that someone was tall, bald, one legged and blind and had a gold tooth - that would identify them - but we don't have that information about any of our users. In fact the only verified personally identifiable information we have is email address, and most people use hotmail/yahoo/gmail addresses.

The Tyrion did reveal the home country of Wiiwii and state that it was his home country in a later post.

But it's very bad practice to reveal any information you have collected about users without their consent, or unless they have mentioned it themselves. Even if it isn't illegal, it doesn't make it less immoral.

I think you guys need to have a serious think about how you handle your community here, because this is really concerning for me.
