for f**ks sake its a forum and I am having a laugh, i love how you lot squirm at me being like this on here its too funny!

I have owned a PS3 so if i was a microsoft fanboy would i have even bought one? and spent £400 at that?! Sure I took it back cos it went faulty and no way in hell wanted a degraded crappy 40gb!

The thing is the 360 has all the RPG's especially JRPG's sure they are not all huge high hitters but I know its good to have 1 or 2 top ones than several crappy ones but no way was blue dragon or lost odyssey or eternal sonata crap but things like Inifinite Undiscovery where it fails at key points i fail to see why its doing soo well.

Anyways who knows how long the 360 will keep up its sales but to beat the Wii as well in sales is a huge thing, the Wii is definently running out of top games and looking at the releases all the games fail to attract interest. For Japan i know they have a different selection but for the 360 to beat the Wii something is definently wrong then.

So, this is some kind of weird S&M thing for you? ...Now, I don't feel well, at all.

Now, every time you post, I'll have this disturbing image of a spotty troll, living in the attic over their Mum's bedroom, who's beating them self with a copy of OXM (FF edition), whilst giggling and dribbling, like the big guy in the Goonies.

Please tell me this isn’t the case, so I can sleep at night.

Super, I understand you after writing on here for a while. Nothing wrong with accepting a small 360 victory in japan, as while its nothing to many of us, others and especially those at MS will be happy for such a victory.

It might not last but it still makes watching the japanese side of things interesting. None of us know any japanese gamers, so we can only go bye their usual trends. Big question is are those trends changing or adapting slowly because of the 360s presence in japan? I hope so.

I'd love to know how well Bioshock done in japan on 360 (i think Capcom was publishing it there), and how well it'll do on PS3. I know some japanese think western games are crap but this is changing.

Actually your figures are wrong, the 360 has sold around 744,000 in Japan

Actually, no they are not. They are figures published by Media Create on their website. I have the figures going back to the launch of the original DS in Japan. The fact that they don't exactly match the figures published by Famitsu just shows how difficult the job of collecting retail figures is.

For example, the Media Create figures for the week starting 8th Sep are as follows;

DS Lite - 63,859
PSP - 30,156
Wii - 29,686
Xbox 360 - 28,188
PS3 - 8,053
PS2 - 7,669

As you can see, the figures are in roughly the same ballpark, but the Media Create figures have the 360 slightly behind the Wii instead of slightly ahead as in the Famitsu figures. Either way it's an exceptional week for the 360 and a miles below average one for the Wii and PS3.

yes its in 3rd place in Japan but if you go recalculate your figures I think you will find global sales of the 360 trump the PS3 hands down by millions.

Yep, roughly 6 Million or so the last time I saw "official" figures. You never know how doctored they are to make nice round numbers, but they're all we have to go on.

However, given that the PS3 is on about 14M and the 360 is on about 20M worldwide, but they have been out for roughly 22 and 34 months respectively, you can see the PS3 is selling faster. The PS3 is selling at an average of about 636,363 consoles per month, the 360 at 588,235 per month. Both of those averages include the consoles' respective slow starts.

The problem for Microsoft is that while the PS3 seems to be selling faster and faster, the 360's sales seem to be slowing down. Just look at who is making price cuts to try and sell consoles faster.

At the end of the day to be honest a part of me has lost a lot of interest it was all fun in the beginning but since the Xbox is doing outstanding this gen and it has tons of support for games etc Microsoft have done its job.

Many gamers this gen own more than 1 console and who knows I might end up getting a PS3 one day again.

I'm so never going to let you run anything...not even picknick...how is losing billions of dollars "outstanding" ?? really...if MS would run a picknick it would spent a lot of money on buying gold utensils and polished marble diner plates and then serve us all spam out a can and call it "the biggest entertainment release ever". The scary part is, you would do the same thing...

Yes i'm still sour over Halo killing and causalizing an entire genre i loved. Bloody Halo *shakes fist at generic space marines in games everywhere*
