Microsoft got duped. Bitter Nintendo, who now own 0% of Rare, have even stopped asking for Rare to develop for them. This is a sad case of elitist Nintendo execs getting 'some revenge' whilst Microsoft try and make some $$$ back with a game from Rare that will sell well - and cost close to nothing to distribute via XBLA. Pure profit.

As I said elsewhere, I own all three 'next gen' console, but the Wii is being Ebayed tonight. Nintendo just lost another long term gamer from their stable with this pig-headed 'if I can't play then you cant play either' attitude.

1) pure speculation
2) Diddy Kong Racing DS
3) Nintendo is still the only one actually making money of Rare 'till this very day and they wanted to sell Rare because they were too inefficient, how is Nintendo bitter then?
4) Nintendo loves its properties and someone remaking one of their owned games without their supervision is a big no-no in their book.
5) Nintendo could just have hogged all the Rare IP before the sale to Microsoft, they didn't because Nintendo is a gamedeveloper first and they respected Rare's own creative output.

Microsoft just did something stupid and just went remaking the game and then contacting NIntendo. They should have first contacted Nintendo.

Why am i doing this, you're probably a troll anyways.

No more than you are obviously a Nintendo fanboy who has even worse carpal tunnel syndrome since the Wii controller came out.

The article put it best when they pointed out how Nintendo recently blocked Sonic from their console. Talk about cutting your nose off to spite your face.

Bitter little Nintendoites.... The world has moved on. Nintendo has not.

Also specualtion since you're calling mine speculation which based off the same article. Or is yours not speculation for some magic reason?

So you are a troll! Quickly get the hammers out! Hit it on the head, hit on the head! It killed you're mother and father, Hit it Hit it!

Sorry, I've re-read this article a couple of times now, and I can't see the part you're referring to. Has it been removed from the article? Are you referring to an altogether different article than this? Are you just making it up?

It sounds quite interesting; I'd like you to present your source, please.

As the man who pushed the article into the world, I can be as sure as my faculties allow me to be that no mention of Sonic blocking was made. That'd be silly... considering Sonic and Mario have been at the Olympic Games on the Wii for a while now.

So, no - it was never in this article and nor was any mention pulled.

(Oh, when I said my faculties 'allow' I did, of course, mean 'enable')

Cheers

Wouldn't it be like, the most amazing thing ever if Goldeneye was released on VC and XBLA at the same time?! It could be an industry-altering event.

Which is why it's never going to happen.

And the two could both go online, and people could play against people from the other platform just as easily as their own, and then Jessica Alba started giving head in Trafalgar Square to anyone that asked?

Don't be ridiculous -- I live hundreds of miles away from Trafalgar Square.

Some of the guys from Rooster Teeth got drunk and commented on this:

Geoff -- I don't know what went wrong, but I can tell you who loses: the annoying people who still live in 1997. Wake up. It's been a decade. New FPSs have been released, some of them even let you jump, or aim while running!
Burnie -- It's too bad, I was hoping someone would make a Nintendo 64 controller for the 360 to go along with the Goldeneye release. I miss wrapping my hands around the worst console accesory ever made. I think I would prefer a controller based on that knife-star thing from Krull.
Nathan -- I am very upset by this. GoldenEye is the root of my brother's carpal tunnel, which is the only reason I am able to beat him now arm wrestling. Of all the "retro" games I was looking forward to playing again, this was at the top of the list. Cyberball was #2. Which I did play. And it sucked.
Jason -- Someone must have realized all my loser friends finished/got kicked out of college and were forced to move on with their lives, thereby leaving no audience for this classic.....ly overrated game.

Amen Jeff, Burnie, and Jason...Amen...

Only you would want to turn a conversation about getting free head from Jessica Alba back to videogames and quote some nerds.
