Summary

Playing as Amitie, a young girl who dreams of being a magician, gamers will encounter many strange and wonderful characters as they progress through Puyo Pop Fever's story mode. Amitie studies in Professor Accord's class at the Magical Academy. Amitie's adventure begins when Professor Accord's flying cane disappears and it is decided that a reward will be given to whoever finds the missing cane. On her journey, Amitie has to face various characters, her goal to match more Puyos (weird jelly-like blobs that burst when four or more of the same colour are combined together) than her opponent. You must try to obliterate opponents by linking explosive combinations, and bombarding them with massive chain reaction combo attacks with Fever Mode.

Puyo Pop Fever offers gamers the opportunity to jump right into the action or learn advanced techniques in the training mode. Other new features of the game are puzzle pieces, which features triple and quadruple sets, 13 unseen characters, and a giant Puyo, which adds a new spin to the already classic puzzle game. Puyo Pop Fever also offers an Ad Hoc Mode, which is a Wireless (WLAN) feature that allows you to go head to head with another PSP owner.
