Summary

Stardate 45101.01, Earth is in trouble. There is grave danger imminent. The Borg, our most feared enemy are on a direct course for Earth. The Borg are cybernetic lifeforms, bent on making the universe perfect. Unfortunately, their idea of perfection involves making the whole galaxy Borg. They assimilate people and technology into their collective. Constantly increasing their numbers and destructive powers. To make matters worse, the Romulans have been regularly attack federation vessels and killing innocent people. News has also come in that a respected Starfleet captain has gone renegade. The future needs you, it’s time to fight back. You must unravel the plot of this interglatic mystery.

The 24th century is not a peaceful time to be living in. With training from Lt. Commander Worf you will master the Valkyrie fighter ship. This nimble little craft has weapons, speed and the ability to lock onto enemy craft. When enemies are engaged like this you can circle around them and slowly destroy them from a multitude of angles. It also features reactive weapons that can scan an enemy ship to find its weakspot. Throughout the game you can adapt your weapons, Borg style, and enhance their firepower and capabilities.

The missions in Star Trek: Invasion are varied and challenging. They can range from an all out assault to protecting peaceful convoys. In certain missions you have wingmen to back you up. This support goes both ways because sometimes they need your help. Invasion is a involving and addictive game that will keep you playing for months. It’s so nice to see a Star Trek License being put to suck good use. Invasion has a great story and boasts fantastic gameplay. Trekkies and shooter fans, rejoice.
