Summary

Another addition to the Need for Speed family and another twist in the tale for the version they call Road Challenge. As we’ve come to expect from the NFS series, there are the usual supercars available to drive – Porsche, Ferrari, Lamborghini, BMW, Mercedes and McLaren are just a handful of the marques on offer. Races take place across the globe, on roads based on genuine locations, and are concerned mostly with the upgrading and customisation of cars. The ‘challenge’ herein is to wager your vehicle against your opponents’. The stakes can be high: lose the race, and you may lose your car and have to start all over again. Various elements within the game can be tampered with, such as the amount of traffic you have to negotiate, weather conditions, and driving at night. These variants raise the stakes even higher, thus the rewards are much better if you succeed.
