NHL 14 comes with a raft of powerful new features set to bring players ever closer to the raw aggression of the ice!
For starters, the collision physics have been enhanced to make the hits more true to life than ever! And the so-called Player Impact Engine comes with a real pedigree - it was created for none other than FIFA 14.
Another improvement that comes courtesy of another title in the EA Sports stable is the Enforcer Engine. It hails from the technology behind the Fight Night franchise, so you might be able to guess where this is going. For the first time ever there's unbroken continuity from the drop of the gloves right to the trip to the penalty box, meaning you really get to live out the action in fights on the ice. There's also real differentiation in size and strength and new jostling mechanics at play.
Other enhancements you'll see on the ice include over 1,000 new animations added to the series' true performance skating and one-touch dekes, which allow for faster and more intuitive dekes.
Also in there is Live the Life, the new incarnation of the Be a Pro mode and a new promotion and relegation system for Hockey Ultimate Team and Hockey League. Plenty of big action for hockey fans!
