Sony Re-Affirms GT5 "Late This Year"
At the end of a very, very lengthy piece of information regarding a car designed by Polyphony Digital in cahoots with F1 car constructor Red Bull Racing, and driver Sebastian Vettel, Sony has confirmed that GT5 will indeed be hitting later this year.

"Gran Turismo 5 will contain more than 1000 perfectly recreated cars ranging from the latest supercars to the cars of NASCAR and WRC. Standing proud will be the fastest car in the game - and one of the fastest to ever leave the drawing board - the Red Bull X1. Earn your chance to drive the Red Bull X1 when Gran Turismo 5 goes on sale later this year", says the company.

The Red Bull X1 is the car in question - you may remember it from... last month. Well, the virtual car in question, although you'd be hard pushed to tell that from the info release.

Car nerds might like to know that it has a virtual "maximum lateral G force exceeding 8G, pushing the limits for the human body, and a top speed of more than 450kmh."

Idea for new poll:

Do you believe Sony when they say GT5 will release before year's end?

Yes...THIS time I think they'll finally do it.

No...We've heard this before.

Who cares?

The game should be here soon.

Rumor has it the delay is just due to the addition of motorcycles, intercontinental jetliners, submarines, cargo ships, bicycles, quads, snowboards, helicopters and a cross continent railroad. They are also having trouble accurately modeling the Magic Carpet as Aladdin is reluctant to grant them access to the only existing Magic Carpet in the universe.

Don’t worry folks, the game will be here just about the time when we’ve stopped using automobiles as our primary means of transportation and televisions are capable of broadcasting the 5D. See the catchy title… “GT5 in 5D” doesn’t get better than that.

Yeah, I was waiting for the next announcement about it being delayed to implement Move and 3D.
