We've heard of the odd, dodgy postman helping themselves to parcel contents but this is ridiculous. An ex-postal service worker in Philadelphia admitted in court to stealing 2,200 computer games with a value totalling $86,000 yesterday.
Reginald Johnson, 34, of Germantown, consistently pilfered through numerous GameFly packages on their way to gamers in the Philadelphia area. In late 2007 reports from residents of missing packages were sent to the Postal Service's Office of Inspector General and a surveillance was conducted in September 2008.
When Feds tried to arrest Johnson after discovering him as the culprit, he zoomed off in his SUV and subsequently crashed it. Obviously
Forza or
Gran Turismo weren't the games he was helping himself to.
Johnson faces 12 to 18 months in prison, with U.S. District Judge Berle M. Schiller to set the sentencing for 13th January.
