Summary

It's been 10 years since we've seen a Micro Machines game grace our screens, but the iconic 90s racing series is back and bigger than ever. Well, not exactly bigger, but certainly boasting more bombastic features and crystal clear visuals!

The premise, for those not old enough to remember these tiny titans from their earlier outings, is pretty straightforward. Players control tiny vehicles as they race around everyday environments (that have, it must be said, been made rather perilous). You might be racing a tank around a tool bench, a hovercraft through a Hungry Hippos game or a police car through a picnic!

Many of the locations are iconic series mainstays, while drivers such as Spider and Dwayne also make a comeback. The driving is as manic as ever and can frequently result in a plummet to your doom. New levels of mayhem have been introduced, however, with (Nerf-branded) power-ups now littering the levels and offering the chance to rain down destruction on other players.

To accompany this new level of danger there are also new modes that can be played online, such as a deathmatch style option in which obliterating your foes is no longer just an option, it's a requirement!
