Summary
Not to be confused with 1943: Battle of Midway, this game is infact a clone of the original arcade title, 1942.
Unfortunately the gameplay lets it down very early, as it's just too difficult. Graphically it lacks the colour of the original, but it does include some detail animation, particularly when your airplane rolls to avoid enemy fire (we said it was a clone!) or the enemy bank across the screen toward you.
The game also suffers from a shamefully small playing field, which adds to the feeling that something is going to fly headlong into the side of your craft.
