In Disney’s The Lion King Simba’s Mighty Adventure you get the chance to assume the role of Simba from the popular film of the same name. This title is a platform game where you watch Simba evolve from a cub to a full-grown lion. Do you think you’re good enough to take on your evil uncle Scar and win?

The graphics in Simba’s Mighty Adventure are amazing considering they are on the Game Boy. The levels are big and feature detailed, colourful backgrounds. You can tell a lot of time has been spent on the animation of the characters, a Disney trademark. You can rush through the levels or spend time exploring to find all pieces of the amulet. We recommend you find the amulet because that unlocks a bonus level when you complete the stage.

The gameplay in Simba is refined and well balanced and that makes it a fun game to play. The levels and plot follow the film closely so if you have seen the movie you will have an idea of what to expect. The sub games are varied and include a game of tennis. In one of the levels you control Simba running through a stampede, very exhilarating.

The Lion King Simba’s Mighty Adventure is a polished, playable Game Boy Color title. Another fine book in the Game Boy library.
